Editorial Policy
This page states how we source claims, which numbers we allow ourselves to publish, how commercial links work, and what happens when a page is wrong. It is written to be held against us.
The numbers rule
A number may appear on this site only if it falls into one of three categories.
- A protocol fact. Something fixed by how Solana or the SPL token program works, such as the number of decimals on native SOL, the fields present in a mint account, or the structure of a constant-product pool. These are checkable and are stated without hedging.
- Labelled illustrative arithmetic. Figures chosen by the desk to demonstrate a mechanism. These always appear inside a marked example block, always describe an invented token, and are never presented as observed market data.
- A figure from a named public source. Attributed with a link, so the reader can check both the number and the context it came from.
Anything that does not fit one of those three does not get published. In practice this rules out live prices, market capitalisations, holder counts, volume figures and rankings for named tokens, which is a large amount of what the surrounding genre publishes.
What is banned outright
- Fabricated statistics of any kind, including invented percentages presented as research.
- Review counts, star ratings, aggregate rating markup or testimonials.
- Invented authors, fake credentials, stock photographs presented as staff, or biographies we cannot support.
- Case studies with invented profit and loss figures.
- Backdated publication dates. Every page on this site was published on the build date shown and is modified in place.
- Claims about the performance, results or reliability of any third-party product.
Sourcing
Claims about how Solana or a token program behaves are sourced to primary documentation where documentation exists, and to the observable behaviour of the chain where it does not. External links go to the project that owns the fact: protocol documentation for protocol behaviour, program repositories for program behaviour, explorers for data-access questions.
We do not cite other commentary as evidence for a technical claim. If a claim on this site depends on someone else's analysis rather than on something you can check, that dependency is stated in the text rather than hidden behind a link.
Illustrative examples
Every worked example on this site uses figures the desk invented for the purpose. They are chosen to make arithmetic legible, which usually means round numbers and clean ratios that no real market produces. Each example block says so.
This is a deliberate choice with a cost: examples built from real tokens would be more vivid. They would also become wrong within hours, would imply an endorsement or a warning about a specific token, and would require us to publish market figures we cannot stand behind. We take the trade.
Commercial links
Some pages link to a third-party volume console at solanavolumebotpro.com. The relationship is commercial and we state that here rather than burying it.
What that does and does not mean. It means the link exists partly for commercial reasons and you should read it with that in mind. It does not mean the surrounding text was written to sell anything: no page on this site claims that product works, produces results, or is better than any alternative, because we have not tested it and would have no way to publish such a test honestly. Where the console is referenced, it is because the page is discussing deliberately generated activity and the reader benefits from seeing what the controls for it look like.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage of tokens, we do not publish sponsored articles, and no third party reviews or approves a page before it is published.
Cross-site links
A small number of pages link to articles on other independent sites covering adjacent subjects. Those links appear only where the linked page answers the specific next question the paragraph raises. They are not reciprocal arrangements and no payment is involved in either direction.
Corrections
Pages are corrected in place. When a correction changes a claim rather than fixing a typographical error, the change is described in the page's own text so that a returning reader can see what moved and why. We do not silently rewrite a claim and leave the page looking as though it always said the new thing.
To request a correction, identify the page, quote the claim, and state why it is wrong. Specific objections get acted on quickly. General disagreement about approach is welcome but is not a correction and will usually get a reply rather than an edit.
Scope and competence
This desk covers metric definitions, decomposition and verification procedures on Solana. It does not cover token valuation, trading strategy, legal or tax questions, or the merits of any specific token or product. Where a question falls outside that scope, the honest answer is that we are not the right source, and we would rather say so than produce confident material at the edge of what we can support.
Independence
No token project has any influence over what appears here. We hold no positions we write about, because we do not write about specific tokens at all. The only commercial relationship affecting this site is the console link described above, and it affects which links appear, not what any page says about how metrics work.
